Community in Unity for Health Equity

The GHS 13th Annual Community Health Summit strategic focus will be on Heart Disease, Hypertension and Diabetes with an additional youth focus on Careers in Health Care and Medicine. The Summit’s purpose is to engage, equip and educate about major health threats and disparities that disproportionately affect many lives in our community.

As seen on NBC Nightly News, Drs. Brandi and Brittani Jackson-twin sisters from Twinsburg Ohio, medical doctors, and co-founders of Med Like Me, aimed at changing the face of medicine by supporting and inspiring those who are underrepresented in healthcare.registration.

Summit Features and Activities: Physician panel, heart disease, hypertension and diabetes presentations, cultural nutrition speakers, on-site community health partners, basic health screenings and consultations for high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes and health risk assessments.

The Summit is GHS’ signature community health education initiative held annually in April and is the largest health conference in the Southeast region.

The Summit is open to adults and youth ages 10 and up. Lunch is free with registration. Registration will be checked due to seating capacity. The event is free and parking is free. Arrive early for seating.
